Interview mit Rock’n’Run Teilnehmer Raphael Lutz

Interview with Rock'n'Run participant Raphael Lutz

On July 14, this year's Rock'n'Run event took place in Zurich. On the program of the ultimate fitness experience were: Pure action at over 15 power stations, spread over about ten kilometers. Afterwards, participants could recover in the cool-down and recovery zone. Luminox, sponsor of the event, spoke with Raphael Lutz, participant in this year's run.

Raphael, what is your relationship with Luminox?

Raphael Lutz: Luminox is a sponsor of the Rock'n'Run, so I was given the opportunity to participate in the Run for free. Great, because Luminox friends were also at the start of the Rock'n'Run in Zurich.

Is this your first Rock'n'Run?

Raphael Lutz: No, I already completed a Rock'n'Run in 2017. However, the run today had more interesting obstacles and we were able to super motivate and push each other as a team.

What motivated you to do this hard and difficult run?

Raphael Lutz: My main motivation was to get those teammates who, unlike me, had never completed an obstacle course to the finish line. On a personal level, I wanted to complete an action-packed run.

What was the most difficult obstacle for you on the run?

Raphael Lutz: For me personally, the most difficult obstacle was probably the first one. This consisted of rotating rings along which the participants had to swing. This is how they got from the starting point to the end point. A strength-sapping challenge!

Which obstacle did you like best?

Raphael Lutz: The first one - simply because it was the most difficult and challenging.

What was the bigger challenge for you, the distance or the obstacles?

Raphael Lutz: It's the combination that makes it, you have to manage your strength very carefully, otherwise you'll be exhausted immediately and won't reach the finish. This was also clearly visible on the course - many participants unfortunately gave up already after half of the distance.

How did it feel to get through the finish line and do you plan to participate in a Rock'n'Run again?

Raphael Lutz: Getting to the finish line always feels great and is associated with a lot of emotions. The whole course is a very emotional affair and I will certainly participate in a Rock'n'Run again.
