The entire Mondaine Group has been focusing intensively on the environment and its resources for decades. As part of this approach, all the watches made by the family-owned company are produced with up to 80% solar energy in its factory in Biberist, Solothurn. Under the slogan WE CARE, the Swiss company is engaged in finding alternative and ecologically meaningful raw materials for watch production, as well as testing and implementing resource-saving production processes and being completely CO2-neutral since 2020.

Mondaine Watch Ltd has now been nominated for the Green Business Award 2022 with its sustainable MONDAINE SBB essence collection and is delighted to be among the 39 nominees. The prestigious award is given annually to the Swiss company with the most outstanding ecological innovation. 

In a first step, a pre-jury on May 18th will select the five best solutions, which will be presented to the expert jury on July 6th, headed by former Federal Councilor Doris Leuthard. The award ceremony will take place on 23rd of September 2022 as part of the Swiss Sustainability Forum in Bern.
